The treadmill finally arrived today! It was a lot bigger than I expected it to be, but it’s now in the basement waiting to be assembled. Probably not much involved in getting it set up, but it’s too heavy for me to piece together. I’ll probably give it a try tomorrow! Can’t wait!!!!!!! :-) 5 years ago

Went for a walk around neighbourhood. Power walked it with a neighbour. It was windy, but still pleasant to go for a walk. I think that we shaved off about 15 minutes, since winter. We don’t have to walk on ice, and snow, and be careful.

Whoohoo! I have enough energy, stamina, cardio endurance to add another step to my step bench. I’m so excited about this change. I’m not losing any lbs on the scale, but…
My cardio is improving;
I have more energy during the day;
I feel happier;
I can get more things done during the day;
My pants are getting bigger;
I’ve lost 2” from my waist;
My waist is now a healthy circumference;
I’ve lost 1.5” from my hips;
I’m eating healthier;
I did 1 hour of step class (high intensity- covered in sweat)! 6 years ago

Bike exercise for 20 minutes (cardio setting)
Did cardio circuit lifting weights for about 20 mintues
Did 32 step-ups on two steps for 1 minute. Going to use this as a benchmark to see if my cardio improves in a month’s time.
Did 50 squats.
Cool down exercises, and stretching for about 10 mintues.
Total time at the gym: 50 minutes 6 years ago
Step class with weights.
Worked the arms with 3 lb weights.
(first time doing the class with weights) have a little more energy for jumping on, and off the step. 6 years ago

I decided to walk to the grocery store, and managed to carry back about 35 lbs of groceries. This really helped to work the bicep muscles.
Walked around the neighbourhood later that night.

Trucked it over to step class, and actually made it through the WHOLE class. I think that this is my third class! whoo hooo!
I’m starting to get better at doing the step moves so that is encouraging.
Warm-up, step class, and cool down. About 45 minutes to 60 minutues…. I always lose track of the time after about 20 mintues into the class. LOL. 6 years ago

-Treadmill: 25 minutes (20 minutes on fat burnm, and 5 minutes cool down)
-did one row of machines part of the cardio circuit (worked some of the muscles upper/lower body)
-did 50 squats

I went for a walk outside, and then decided to go to the gym to do a light workout. I walked for approximately 90 minutes, light, leisurely stroll inside on the treadmill, and a moderate walk outside.

I went for a light walk after dinner, which was great, and something that I should try to do everyday (well, at least when it’s not raining or snowing!) LOL.

It was an intense workout! I planned to stay to the end, and this is what I did! The class was 1 hour, and I was getting so tired, and sore that I nearly left, but I reminded myself that I couldn’t just give up. It feels good to follow through on this plan, but my legs are really hurting today!!!!!
I’m doing the step class with only one step (no riser), and whenever I feel tired, I just march on the spot until I feel ok to pick-up where the class is in progress. 6 years ago
My intention was to go to a yoga class, but it was cancelled! Instead, I decided to make the most of the time, and do a light workout. I walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes, and then did 10 minutes of stretches, and lunges.
I’m starting to notice my thighs are getting tighter! I hate pain, so I have usually avoided doing any exercises that I think will make me hurt… ab exercises, and lunges have been two exercises that I have avoided, and have realized that they are ones that I should really be working on! 6 years ago

Tonight, I went to a step class. Class lasted approximately 1 hour.
60 minutes step class (Level 1) includes cool-down, and stretching
30 minutes on treadmill (walking- manual workout)
and some walking
Wow! I didn’t realize that I was at the gym for 1.5 hr!!!! I must remember to go to these classes more often. I also watched tv while I was on the treadmill (walking), which helped to pass the time. 6 years ago
I have the booklets that I plan on using, but I haven’t created a fitness plan just yet.
I need an hour to plan out a fitness schedule so that I can stick to the plan. 6 years ago
