Become a detective

I want to be like Elliot Stabler on SVU. I’m hoping to be in a sex crimes unit because I think that the people that commit those types of crimes need to be taken off the streets as fast as possible. It’s just disgusting.

My name Breeanna, I am about 14 years old and i am determined to become a detective. we recently took a trip to the tech school and i visited the law enforcement section witch has gotten me even more fired up about it all i cant wait till next year. for three years at the tech school i can get 30 Collage credits isn’t that awesome!

I want to become a police officer, and eventually work my way up to detective. First, though, I need an appointment for an oral interview!

ive always wanted 2 b a spy or detective. i hav books and everythin. ie also got spy gear and i stay up late nearly every nite watchin crime shows. :)

I always dreamed and was interested in becoming a Detective.
becuase i would love to stop ever drugdealer that there is and i know certain places where i know they are at.

Det. Olivia Benson from Law & Order: SVU is my absolute rolemodel. Her and Nancy Drew have inspired me to get my degree in criminal justice.

I was called in to the chief’s office at 3 PM today and handed my promotion letter. It happened fast! I found out it was because one of our current detectives decided to go back to uniform so there was an opening. I went right from working a car wreck to the detectives staff meeting and then had to stay and finish up my reports from the day (since this was my last day of my work week, I couldn’t leave anything til tomorrow) so I didn’t get out of work til late. Probably won’t be the last time for that either.

My head is still spinning and I know I haven’t even begun to process this yet…I’m leaving tomorrow for a weekend in Chicago and a dear friend’s wedding so I won’t even have much time to think about it until I get back. Today was my last day as a uniform patrol officer and I didn’t even know it until it was over. Weird. I’ll miss some things but I’m excited about this next new step.

AND it looks like I will get fraud investigation, which is what I was hoping for…

Got the results of the interiew/application process yesterday. They ranked the 9 applicants and I’m #3. There are only 2 positions at this time so I’m still a patrol officer for now, but the list is good for a year and I’m first in line for another position that opens up. And I hear they are trying to get authorized to add another position sooner rather than later.

I’m a little disappointed but I know it will happen sometime, probably (hopefully!) within the next year.
