I love these. And I’ve tried to make them before (see picture), but they never turn out quite as good as those that I’ve had made by other people. So I’m going to do some research and experimenting when green tomatoes become available.
I figured with all the tomatoes in our garden that we should try making fried green tomatoes. So I found a recipe online and whipped up a batch. They weren’t bad, if I had to eat something fried I guess green tomatoes are better than alot of stuff people are throwing in oil these days… but we only ate a little bit and there was a lot left over to throw out.
If someone offered my a fried green tomato (like at a party) I’d probably try it. And it was a good experiment, but I will warn anyone out there thinking of trying them: fry up one tomato, even if the recipe calls for five.
