I grew up doing graf in bristol when banksy was doing his early work, its all over bristol and always got respect – such a bristol sense of humour! My favourites are RatCam and his flea market painting mods. 2 years ago

And our friends even had one on the side of their chemist shop (see photo with the guy who owns the building and the shop). That was really so cool. They tried to be coy but it didn’t work well ;)
There were loads of others around where we socialised or went past on the way to work. This was one of my favourites: Banksy’s Pulp bananas fiction but the council painted over it in black as it was graffiti. :(
Then in July we went to Bristol for the afternoon and after only a 90 minute queue (quite short compared to lots) we got in to see his exhibition. What was best about it was that some of the other galleries had a Banksy in but you had to look at them all as they were really well placed. That was so worth the travel and queue. 2 years ago
This is something that would be fun to do when I go to Bristol this Christmas. 4 years ago
It was also Banksy’s home town, so this was a relatively easy one for me. I passed by one of his (the ‘Mild, Mild West’ one) on the bus for nearly two years before I even discovered who Banksy was (well, that he had done lots more of them, and was quite renowned for his work). I’ve also seen his tag on the Thekla, the man hanging out of the window (pictured in ZombieFlesh’s entry) and his other tag on the railway bridge over the M32 (but I think someone has sprayed over this now, sadly). 4 years ago
This one’s in Park Street, Bristol, on the side of a wall. It looks so detailed and realistic for a stencil. There were lots of other people taking photos when I was there as well. 4 years ago
The naked man climbing out of a window stencil is only about 20 minutes away from where I work so I will try and go to see it soon. There was such a big fuss about whether it should stay or not and I’m curious about how shocking it really is. 4 years ago
yeah I’ve seen a banksy piece in real life.. that guy is amazing he inspires me so much 4 years ago
