I blame moving. 11 months ago

I’ve moved so many times in the past 12 months, which has made me careless with unpacking. And my wardrobe is a mess!
It’s on my (long) shortlist of things to do.

Untitled 11 months ago

my wardrobe did consist of too many things spread out across the floor, in piles on shelves and hanging in two rooms. I started by collecting all my things in my spare bedroom and am moving them back into my wardrobe in stages, writing down the item, what it goes with and if it needs mending, dry cleaning etc . . .
taken me about two hours but i now have a list of 75 things all neatly organised in my wardrobe which are organised by item and colour etc
still judging by the mountain of clothes in the other room i have a lot of work to do!

wishing to have organized wardrobe 19 months ago

my sister in law’s wardrobe is always organized but it seems impossible for me.. I always think and plan to organize it but never get sucess.. my mom says that i can make plans but cant do actions…may be it is true… but i want to be more organized.
i never press and repair my clothes but now i decided that i will press my clothes and organize the wardrobe twice in a week so i can find the clothes without wasting time.. i hope this time i will perform actions rather than just mere plans.
i have took first step, i organized my clothes. in the evening i will press few dresses and hang it

So I don’t have a billion things crammed in there, so I already have a list of outfits ready, and thus so I won’t have to frantically run around half an hour before going out, trying to decide what to wear.

Wardrobe Disaster 20 months ago

My wardrobe is a disaster zone. I am trying to radically improve it. I started last night. I still have a long way to go but so far it is going very well.

i’m a perfectionist, so i know it will be a few more days and a few more tries before i get my wardrobe exactly how i want it (if i EVER manage to be happy with it) but i made a start this afternoon.

and a start is worth something, right?

I'm calling this one! 2 years ago

Done! We had a public holiday today, and I spent some good time relaxing, but also some good time sorting through my clothes. I’ve gotten rid of a lot of clothes that I haven’t worn for nearly a year now, sorted all the ones that are left, and made good use of all of the hanging storage that I bought. Feels GREAT!

Now I’ve left the wardrobe door wide open so that I can keep looking in and seeing how tidy it is!

I’m so glad I’m not the only one with this on my goal list!
I bought some hanging storage for my wardrobe, I think once I really start using it properly it will work. I need to get a proper solution for my shoes as well.
Once my wardrobe is sorted out I can start on clearing out the stuff under my bed… fun times ;-)

You should see my wardrobe. It’s so neat and organised. I’ve really only been using half the hanging space, and now I’m using all of it. My coats are in one section, my business jackets, skirts and trousers are in another, all my sports gear is together and my tops are sorted by type – sleeveless to long sleeved.

The style consultant was fabulous. As well as helping me to get rid of a few disaster items, she also put everything on the hangers the right way and then sorted my clothes into groups. I can see that I’ll save heaps of time putting outfits together – provided that I can keep the wardrobe organised.

I finished tidying my chest of drawers the other day. It’s so much easier to find things and my room looks much tidier without the laundry basket piled with clothes that was always in the corner.

I’m really glad I did this one.

I made a start on this today 2 years ago

I tipped the contents of my two top dresser drawers into a basket and sorted through them. I haven’t been putting things into the drawers because they are full of clothes that are too big for me or from last season.

I’ll keep working at it.
