Attend the Kentucky Derby

I will go to the races in Hollywood. If I make it to the KY Derby great, if not it is not the end of the world.

I know it will suck to deal with all the people and all the traffic, but I really think this is something I want to check off my list before I get too old. Just to say it was done.

born and raised in Louisville. Hate the derby. Boring as all get-out. you’re either with a buncha drunk ppl in the pit, getting as naked as possible without getting arrested, so isolated in the puking crowd that you cant see anything…..or surrounded by drunk rich ppl with more money than common sense and they want to tell you exactly how rich they are….even when everything’s owned on credit. I hate the derby. Not to mention churchill downs is in THE worst part of town….one can hardly drive through at night without getting shot at….

Okay I was born and raised in KY and I have never been to the Derby. Gina, a colleague in Louisville, goes every year with some friends. I emailed her and asked if I could go with her in 2006. She said I could go with them. I hope that I will be able to go.

I’ve attended the Preakness, in Baltimore, but I’d like to be able to say I’ve been to all three legs of the triple crown. There is a beauty in horses that I love to watch whether its in racing, jumping or just running in a field.
