It was rash of me to ask for the ashes-I should have let him put them in the pet cemetery in the woods, like the other ones, but this time I had them put in a nice wooden box. I thought I’d open it and put it in a hole by the cats’ favorite tree, but I couldn’t get the box open! It’s stuck. So I made a little meditative garden in the back garden with the box at the center. (See entry about design a garden.) Maybe that’s to morbid though-I might move the box to a more hidden part of the garden, under a shrub, and leave the meditation area for the cats. I guess we’ve got too much time on our hands, eh? :) 6 years ago
I’m a little skeptical about putting the cat’s ashes into the vegetable garden. That seems bad. Besides, that wouldn’t fit the dignity of this cat. So not there.
So where? Under the shade of the tree in the front yard? Or in the rose bushes? Or the flower bed at the foot of the deck?
