I can’t believe that I thought I was well on my way to finishing my little red journal five whole months ago, and today I’m still only about a third of the way done with it. Goals like this remind me of why this site is legitimately helpful: when I realize something like that, it sort of makes me think what am I doing with my life, which is a great motivator… or something.
How to fill a journal
How I did it: It was the very beginning of summer vacation. I was bored and strolling through Staples when I came across the notebook section. I picked up a 70-pg. notebook and a box of ballpoint pens, and went to work. I started June 24th and finished August 5. That's about 2 months. I wrote about anything and everything. Listmaking is quite fun! :D I wrote down recipes, random thoughts, things I overheard... everything. It's very good knowing you've brought something like this full circle.
Lessons & tips: Take just a moment out of your day every day or every other day to write down whatever's botheringu or on your mind. You don't have to fill up an entire page, just write it out loud.
Resources: Notebooks, ballpoint pens, patience, the conversations of others, boredom (surprisingly)

For Christmas my father gave me a perfectly sized little Moleskine journal, which I would avoid like the plague (pretentiousness sensors tingling) were it not bright red, and therefore terribly difficult to resist.
I got off to a slow start, but now I use it whenever I have an idea that requires something more- intimate?- than being typed out on the computer.
One of my new favorite websites is http://community.livejournal.com/jr__nal/ ... seeing the beautiful things that everyone there churns out on a daily basis is inspirational, and a great incentive to get closer to accomplishing this goal.

This is going to take a very long time, because I decided to get one of those whopper thick journals.
But it’s not so much filling the journal as it is accurately recording my life, thoughts and feelings
razzHeme13 wahhhhh
I have filled two complete journals, and am working on another.
Out of the 18 years of life I have spent on this earth I have finally finished a full journal! Praise Jehovah!
Started February 10th and haven’t missed a day! It’s becoming easier and more of a habit.
I have my journal filled out almost to the halfway mark. Trying to accomplish this goal has proven to myself how impulsive I can be. Every time I see a cute little journal I want to buy it and disregard the one I already have. It’s crazy, but whatev. Thank the LORD that I am almost done with this one!
