What an amazing piece of history- the great wall of china.
This is something I have always wanted to do because it looks so phenominal and I would love to see it in person

I’m not exactly sure when it happened, but at some point over the course of the past couple of years I fell in love with the Chinese culture. Initially, I think my attraction to the culture had a lot to do with the food. I’ve since been informed that REAL chinese food is not really what they serve at the Mandarin, but I choose to ignore these facts in favour of associating american-style chicken fried rice with the wonderful country of China. It’s like believing in Santa Clause…why kill the dream?
Anyways, my love of the country has more recently been refined after meeting an international student with whom I immediately became good friends. I’ve been to authentic chinese restaurants, shopped at the Chinese super-market, learned about the folklore, and even celebrated Moon day which, by the way, gives thanksgiving day a run for it’s money!
I have wanted to go to China ever since she and I met. Hearing about the beautiful tourist site’s prompted me to find pictures of them online which immediately made me want to go there even more. There are so many places I want to visit while I’m there, but walking on the great wall seems to epitomize this entire goal. Of course, I wouldn’t walk the length of the entire wall, but even just to stand on a portion of it and look out at how far that amazing structure goes would just be amazing!!
