turn our luck around

I’m marking this as ‘done’. This goal had too many negative feeling associated with it, and I’ve already had a shift in my thoughts and energy and am back to feeling grateful for what I have – rather than concentrating on the things that go wrong.

Damian’s car doesn’t need to be written off, and the excess is a bit cheaper than he was originally quoted. Hooray!

.....and that’s because life has generally been drama-a-rama.
Damian and I had so many plans to make this year great, and to get ahead financially, and everything has just gone to shit really.

Things really started to go wrong on Sunday when Damian crashed his car. He’s okay – a little bit bruised (mainly from the airbag) and is pretty shook up. I think the car is fixable…but we’re still waiting to know for sure.

Then today, he was driving my car and the engine decided to cook itself on the motorway. Freaking fantastic. So it’s f**ked and is going to cost at least $3000 to fix!!!!! As a student, it’s not like I exactly have $30 must of the time, so $3000 is just insane. So yeah, needless to say, there has been a few tantrums around here this afternoon. So now I’m paying $300 to have it towed to my family’s where it’s going to get stored until I figure out what the hell to do.

So now we have to share a car from Dam’s family, and try to figure out how the hell we’re both going to get to work and back everyday. It’s pretty crap. Yeah, it could be worse, I’m glad we’re all okay yadayada, but I’m still entitled to a whinge.

We really need a run of good luck. I’m seriously sick of this year already.
