Lost45 is sleepy
I’ve climbed the other 4 highest peaks (Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) so I just need to climb this to have the full set.

drasticfantastic is truly thankful this Thanksgiving
What a weekend! Fell in love with the lake district!
The ‘stream’ we were meant to cross was a river up to our shins… the winds on top meant we had to hug boulders to prevent being blown off at times (I am not making this up… I always thought it was a figure of speech, but we actually had to crouch down and hold on to rocks).
One heck of an experience, but we did it. County top number 33 and three out of three country tops of Great Britain.
I’ve been in bed ill for three days after completing it… I think I was already a little bit ill, but the conditions, coupled with camping in the rain the night after the climb made it all come out.
Definitely worth doing, and I’ll consider it again when there’s a nice high pressure system hanging over the area!
Date set, map bought, camping booked. We’re off to do the pike in a few weeks.
I’ve been to the Lake District twice with the intention of climbing Scafell Pike…The first time a member of our team couldn’t make the climb due to being unwell, so we all decided against it. The second time was during the first day of the 24 Peaks Challenge last year, where due to getting lost in severe weather we had to skip Scafell to make it back before dark.
I shall conquer it!!
Maybe this autumn… we’re itching to do it a little now, having done the other two (Ben Nevis and Snowdon)
I know this is already included in my highest points goal… but this one deserves extra recognition.
the view is awesome, i did it with college, i stood there and i felt like the tallest person in england!
went up from wasdale long haul, stoney top, dripping with noisy crowds. still worth doing though!
