finish decorating

I’m on the hunt for a new comforter, rectangle garbage can, and need a console table, mirror and vase for entry way. Once these items have been purchased, I want to complete the window treatments in our master bedroom, dining room and french doors to back patio. I need to get quotes on the customized drapes.

I am planning to do this particular weekend, but I’m afraid I’m planning too much for one weekend!

I need to finish the boys’ Crosley room. It’s so close and I just can’t get to the point where it’s actually done. Partly because they need to be gone while I paint, and partly because we need some more money get stuff, but really, there are things we can do to make it complete.

Well, my flat’s looking pretty decent now :) Can’t really do much more on my current income – got lots of plans for when I get a full-time job though!

Whew! Finally, the border is up! My mom helped me put it up. Or should I say I sorta helped her! I then ironed all the curtains, my husband and son moved the bed in and tredmill to the small sitting area off the bedroom. It actually looks like a bedroom now. I made the bed, put up the curtains and put the table cloth on the round table. I still have lots more doodads to decorate with but I think they are in the attic and I ran out of steam. So here is a picture of it! I am very proud, but I am not counting this as done until the decorations are in!

All the walls are blue. I do need one more coat in the small sitting room off the big room but I am almost there. I’ll be done by 5:00. My wonderful loving husband helped me finish. He did all the rolling. I did the edging. So after the paint dries I am putting up the border. That should be interesting. I may have recruit my mom for help on that! This is impossible to finish! Everytime I think I have a few hours something happens! I have two walls painted. That’s it. It sucks. I can’t stand looking at it not done. Tomorrow I have to take my car for service and hopefully will get some painting done before 3 cuz that is when I have to start cooking dinner for my mom’s bday. I’d also like to make a homemade birthday card sometime tomorrow. Well. I can’t lose sleep over it, hopefully hubby will help out a LOT tomorrow!

this is dragging on and on and on…..
i’m think i’m going to set myself a challenge to kick my arse in gear.

okay so I didn’t do any work on this today. I forgot I have an appointment at 5 so I didn’t want to get all the paint stuff dirty for only 1 hour of work. So I will do it tomoorrw. I am off work all next week so I should be done by goal. I hope so, cuz I really like to eat out!
