see Serenity the day it comes out

Got dressed real nice in a western styled shirt and nice jeans. Spent the extra money to get a cab. Went out to the biggest theatre in town. Saw it with a bunch of dedicated fans. Had dinner after at a beer and wings place. Had some wings, fried mushrooms. Drank a couple pints, and a shot of Jack to toast Joss Whedon. Took another cab home. Had a great time!

and it is well-worn. What a great opening scene – Simon Tam as a badass, who knew?

It was so awesome seeing it in a theater (half) full of non-fans. I brought my two non-fan friends, and they got pretty into it and made fun of me for being so completely absorbed in a movie I had already seen.

(I totally dug my nails into my hands hard enough to leave marks during the suspenseful part, and apparently I freaked out during a certain death scene. I was hoping it wouldn’t happen this time, ok???)

My friend is into sci-fi flicks. he wanted to see this. so we went. i didnt even know what it was about.

i think we both regretted the decision

I loved it. No spoilers, but I will say, “Mr. Lucas, eat your heart out.” I really do hope NBC Universal makes some sequels. Who knows, maybe they’ll pick up the series!

I don’t dare say much about this film for fear or spoilers. I will say that I was completely happy with it, and can’t wait to check it out again.

And it was totally worth it!

will love this movie. Does not disappoint. Newbie accessible, too.

I really enjoyed sitting in the theater with other Firefly fans, laughing and gasping as the story unfolded.

I will be seeing it again this weekend with my husband.
