I’ve been working at an italian restaurant for 5 years, I’m learning to speak italian. I might as well learn to cook it.

I want to go to Italy and learn to cook italian food there. I want to go to markets, shop for fresh ingredients, take my time and enjoy :)
oh how i love italian food! if i could adopt any culture for their food, it’d be italian (mind you, i’m of lebanese background and our food is supposed to be pretty good, but having it everyday kinda makes me sick of it!)
Things i’ve made:
Several pasta dishes (many Donna Hay recipes- for all you Aussies who know who i’m talking bout!)
Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni
Lasagne and pizza of course
Things i’d like to make:
eggplant parmigiana
ravioli
gnocchi (was looking at a recipe- seems suprisingly easy!)
cmon guys, cheer me on:)
I watch the food network a lot, especially “Everyday Italian.” Hopefully I will retain some of this information. As much as I watch the food network I should be learning something…
One of the most delectable dishes I have ever made. It is a white sauce enhanced by gorgonzola cheese over pasta (tortellini), scallops, shrimp and crab meat. A little on the heavy side but totally worth every calorie.
I just LOVE Italian food. I can already cook just fine- no disasters in the kitchen or anything. I just want to learn to cook more Italian dishes.
