live a more simple life

Untitled 14 months ago

I really need to get back to basics! I’ve started to simplify my life since a year ago and I’m totally satisfied!
The concept of huge societies are under big question to me right now, or let’s say I don’t believe in it anymore!!

Task 1: Cooking 3 years ago

I love complex flavors; I hate complex recipes.
I’ve been working on making simple, yet elegant, awsome tasting foods. Removing steps, and flavors that are unnecessary or the ROI is just not worth it. Simple is better.

Is lounging around the house all week simple enough? 3 years ago

I had the week off. So it did the simple thing, stayed up late, slept in, and loved it. Is that simple enough?

Started... 3 years ago

I’ve started, at least, with this goal. I’ve always aimed to lead a minimialist live style, so as to minimise my indecivisiveness and be happier, so I’ve been really good this christmas and I’ve gotten rid of lots of things that I no longer need or that overly complicate my life. I can’t deny I need some rather obscure creature comforts, but I’d really love to lead a simpler life, without the chaos and everything else.

Family and Friends 4 years ago

Sometimes it takes something tragic for you to step back, and examine your life. I’ve always loved my friends dearly. I’ve always been a very out going, on the verge of over bearing person. Making new friends, and being so social I, I can end up ignoring (T) at times, and often friends fall to the wayside as I move on in life. As of late we had taken a more close to home approach, and didn’t get out and spend alot of time with our friends. Our recient loss has made us reevaluate what whe hold dear. I realise to me, its our friends and family. So, this thanksgiving, take some time to spend with friends and family. And be thankful for every day you can spend with them.
God bless(1)

I've been successful at... 4 years ago

Decluttering my life. Not so much living simpler, but not hording stuff, getting rid of stuff I’ll never use, don’t need, and that is taking up space. This is what I can do now to live this life.

goucho's in Chile 4 years ago

Talk about simple life. No tv, no cable, no intarweb. Books, radio, charged by sunlight, and ran off battery. Wood powered stove, semi running water. Drinking mate, and enjoying goucho life. I don’t care to go to that extreme, but there is certainly a happy medium. Where just enough is enough. Where there is no need for extra stuff, and life is good. I think I’ll need to do some maturing mentally for that to be my future.

spending time with my family... 4 years ago

Some times family complicates things, others it’s great comfort.
The past few weeks would have been imposible with out them. Simple things… I was very content with a very simple life over the last few weeks. I think I’m getting the grasp of this goal.
The more I unplug, the more I enjoy it.

Sitting on the deck... 4 years ago

Smoking a cigar, drinking sangria, with the smell of braising ribs wafting through the air. It doesn’t get much better than that. Not eactly simple, but damn good none the less.

Todays task towards this goal. 4 years ago

Remove clutter, and excess stuff. I was forced to take some stuff from my parents house when I was home yesterday. So, todays task was going through it, and tossing what I didn’t need, getting rid of stuff it duplicates.
