    My group at work has started a contest – three months to lose 8% of your body weight. Winner gets a spa gift certificate. Good incentive to not eat Kit Kat at work!

    Yesterday am was 126 lbs. ...owing entirely to the
    1. no late-night eating
    2. bike trip into midtown on Sunday for rehearsal
    3. two gym visits
    4. better attitude!

    Hip-opening yoga today – ate pretty well yesterday…
    127.4 pounds!

    This Week 18 months ago

    Although I feel a slight back-slide this week (my energy is not as high as last week), I did the NYCB DVD again on Monday night, and did three spurts of cardio at the gym last night. And I’ll work out (or dance class) today, so that will make 3x on the weekday, which is great!

    Sunday Check-up 18 months ago

    -Did the New York City Ballet DVDDAMN! I can’t believe there was a time in my life when I actually danced every day. I had the turnout of a soldier this afternoon. And the stamina of a chair. But I finished the darn thing, even while my form deteriorated throughout.

    I’ve got a long way to go.

    Did a 20 min. yoga session at the tail-end for a cool down, and can feel a little more vibration in my core, like it’s trying to remember what to do. Little by little, I have to remind myself what my body used to be so I can get at least most of the way back there (minus the I’m-5-years-older loss of elasticity)!

    So Far... 18 months ago

    Last week:
    Gym 3x a week – at least 45-50 minutes (split up) of cardio – the weight machines for legs & arms. Sit-ups for abs.
    This week:
    So far gym 1x already – 30 min. cardio and weight for legs only. Just bought the New York City Ballet Workout DVD Vol 2 (I wore vol 1 down a few years back)...going to try it out this week.
    Down to 129…not really moving fast enough for my taste but some of it will be muscle. Slow and steady wins the race!!
