How I did it: I decided that because it was a nice day - cool, breezy, not too sunny - I'd finally take the walk that I'd been meaning to go on. I put on my spiffy new scarf to protect me agianst the autumn chill and set off!
It was pretty much destinationless walk (but I think those are the best kind). I went around the park and through the woods, and even stopped to climb a tree.
I found my walk to be very pleasant and even calming, which was a nice feeling to have after a hectic, exhausting week of school. I recommend going for a walk!
Lessons & tips: Try not to plan your walk too much. Not knowing exactly where you are going makes it more of an adventure (though don't go getting yourself lost on my account). Also, bring something with you to do during a break in your walk, such as: a picnic lunch, a journal to write in, a sketchbook. This keeps your walk more interesting and less tedious, especially if it is somewhere you have been walking before.
Resources: backpack, the park, path through the forest, notebook, pencil, drinking fountain

It’s snowing out there – how does anyone expect me to go for a walk? I get as far as three steps out the door, drop my butt, pee or poo, run back in the house and bury myself under a warm blanket.
Life is rough for us Princesses.
It was really humid… I came back and felt like I just went for a short run.
lol
Stinky stinky stinky.
I took the dogs, too.
: )
I know that I said I would go for a “just because!” walk today and I even made a Personal Challenge out of it (good thing I gave myself an extra day – I hate seeing that FAILED sign)...
but that was earlier yesterday, when I was expecting to actually sleep last night.
I didn’t again, and still haven’t yet (I think I might be ready to here in a little bit though), so I’ve had the glossy, heavy eyes all day today and just felt like staying in.
It was difficult to make lunch and dinner.
I am almost positive I will sleep tonight, so since tomorrow is the last day of the challenge, I think it will happen!
Not just a walk to the store, or to go somewhere that I have to go.
Or because I have to work off a certain amount of calories.
A walk that I do just because!
I haven’t done a “just because!” walk in almost a year, maybe a little less than that.
TOMORROW!
I might take one of the dogs with me, too.
There is this b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l park only about a few minutes away. It’s near one of those areas with Victorian-style houses tucked in a wooded area.
There’a stream, or more like a river, and there’s white benches and a white wooden gazebo stretched over part of the river.
It’s like something you’d see in a chick flick!
lol
It’s not like the one in the picture, it’s much more prettier than that.
I bet a lot of people have gotten married there.
Anyway, I’m going to set it as a Personal Challenge so I make sure it gets done.
I need this!
: )

I do it everyday. My favorite thing to do. I guess you could say going on walks is my hobby :)
dwpny is going to build a two story building with a roof garden.
Boring…...
PattyTrish Is living in a new state and enjoying it a lot!
And I still don’t have a walk-habit! Yikes! I bought a little pedometer a couple days ago and have been wearing it to see how much I am walking and to work up to 10,000 steps/day. (Google 10000 steps to find websites or plans for better health through the encouragement of a pedometer).
I was surprised how many steps just walking around my office building (to the files, to the cubicle, to the bathroom, to….) involves.
Happy Trails!

Went for a 30 minute walk even though it was freezing outside. I walked along the Provo river trail. The snow, the rushing water, the peacefulness of it all, cleared my head. I used to walk this trail a lot but it’ been over 7 months since the last time I did it. I’d like the weather to warm up a bit more, but I’m going to try and do this at least twice a week.
