seeing the sea from my bedroom and living room windows. Being a couple short block’s walk from the beach whose gold sand sparkled in the sun. I noticed even though I was pretty far north (northern Scotland) the climate was relatively mild, and Ive heard that is attributed to the city being on the North Sea.
god I loved living there, I left because school had ended (though I probably couldve twisted my parents arm for one more year, but I was too scared to do a dissertation) and I missed my family, and to this day, 4 years later, I regret it and think about it and get depressed about it. ah man.
Living by the sea is pretty sweet ~

Hello! I’m from Belarus, I’m 23 and my biggest intention is to move a house and to live by the sea. but…it’s not easy for me now coz 1) I’m just a teacher of English, who doesn’t have any property here, so I have nothing to sell to live abroad:) 2)I have the responsibilities: my daughter. 3) I have nobody abroad to help me.
but still (though I have no idea how) my dream is to live somewhere in the south of Europe(is doesn;t matter where exactly), to see the sunrise from my bedroom and to drink wine from time to time on the beach when I feel especially good… so, I’m envious kindly to those people who were able to make their dream come true. I hope to take as much inspiration from them as I can. thank you!

I’m in the Isle of Man with my parents at the moment and although it’s not on the beach, we are always 15 minutes maximum from the sea. I’ve been down to a lovely beach by a castle with my family on the night of Christmas Eve, and Christmas morning we sat on a beautiful pebble beach and enjoyed brandy coffees!
I’m off to New Zealand in January where I’m looking forward to some amazing coastal scenery and beaches, then Malaysia and Thailand where I’ll be seeking out more of the same. Hooray for the beach!

This i believe to be the one thing i am certain of doing in life at some point, because i have always wanted to be there. I dont know when but one day i will have a place on the coast a white picket fence and a kiln in my backyard.

I lived for most of my teens on the Isle of Man. I think while I was there I never quite appreciated it enough. Often the way. Now thought, living in London, I miss the sea so much. The sound, the smell, the taste of the fresh air.
Some of my most beautiful recent seaside memories…
1- Christmas last year, on the beach at Laxey on christmas morning, just sitting and chilling with my family, drinking brandy coffee and gazing out at the brilliant play of sunshine on the sea.
2- April this year- California- stopping in the vicnity of 7 mile drive to play in the Atlantic- so beautiful and so powerful.
3- Durdle door, Dorset- my first glimpse and some time to play on the beach and collect seaglass and stones. Wonderful.
