Practice French again

I was in French Immersion for kindergarten and all of middle school and most of high school. I’m technically bilingual but I don’t have many opportunities to actually speak French. I know I’m slowly losing my grammar skills (which were a bitch to learn in the first place) and that makes me sad because I’ve spent so many years on this.

A friend introduced my to a summer intern from France, and I have been practicing a little every week while driving her to and from church. Boy, it is impressive how much you can forget about a language in just a few years. Especially, how to hear it, as well as the more obvious problem of remembering how to speak it. Two weeks and counting on this goal!
