I am 21 and have been in college for four (Five?) years now, and have not earned a degree yet, because I keep changing my major! I’ve done everything from CNA to Medical Assisting to IT and now Advertising and Graphic Design. But now I believe I found what I actually like to do, and I’ll be graduating in May with this degree!
How to earn a college degree
How I did it: With a lot of determination and the willingness to balance borderline alcoholism with in-depth discussion on the role of British iconography in the American Temperance Movement.
Lessons & tips: Learn to laugh at yourself and your silly mistakes. Learn to prioritize and enjoy your time in class. The degree is just the makeup, the classes are the personality.
Resources: Utah State University's Merril-Cazier Library. Uintah brewing company, Squatter's brewing company, Sierra Nevada brewing company, my wife, my parents, my dogs.

Im 18 years old and i recently dropped out of college. I reallyyyy want to go to RISD or Parson’s in New York but I don’t seem to hve enugh funds for it. I wish there were more scholarships for international students. DAMN!
I have taken a few classes here and there at two different community colleges. So hard when you work full time and have children. Some days I am content to wait until they are out on their own, and other days, I am ready to jump back in.
Sometimes, it doesn’t feel like it, but I know that I am well on my way to accomplishing this one…Should be there by spring of 2009, and only ten years behind schedule!! : )
Alaythia is slowly settling in
I have my BA in English. I chose English chiefly because it was easy for me and I had so many hours of college credit that I needed to declare a major. lol I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up yet, though. There’ll probably be at least one more degree in my future.
i’m not certain that i want to do this any longer. i’ve been thinking long and hard, and i just don’t have the proper motivation to go back to school.
so there.
It’s been ingrained in me that I need a degree to do anything with my life. I don’t know a degree worth pursuing right now, but I’m working on it.
B.A. – English/Creative Writing. Now I’m going to try for a Master’s, because as it turns out, English degrees aren’t very useful in the world of employment, nevermind how personally fulfilling they may or may not be…
