I want to learn to use Maya, I have no idea how to start to use it, I just want to learn how to start
How to learn to use Maya
How I did it: I decided that animation and concept art was what I wanted to do so I went back to school to learn the programs I needed to get into that job. I'm still in school right now but I am one step closer to the job I really want and of course being learned in Maya as well.
Lessons & tips: When you know what you want to do make sure you research exactly what you need to know before people will hire you. Pretend like you're job hunting even before you graduate, so you don't miss the chance to take classes on things you may need.

Seems like all animation careers now involve 3D animation skills. I just graduated with a BFA in design but what I really want to do is animation. I really want to learn how to use Maya and other animation software, both 2 & 3D!

My Animation II class revolved around Maya, but I still don’t feel knowledgeable enough with it that I could make something decent. Whether animated or not.
