The focus for this magazine would to view in on barbers in the southeast and southwest georgia region. My vision is to allow barber’s in this region to know one another and display their art as a barber.

i want ot publish my own magazine more than anything i have so many ideas tha i jst have to put in themang.

Let's start with 2 years ago

...’write for a magazine’ first. Once I have that down I’ll consider the publishing thing. Besides, magazines are such a waste of paper! Oh, what to do!?

My search today was unsuccessful 3 years ago

I search the shelves every couple of weeks looking at the rows, levels and layers of magazines thinking that maybe, just maybe, someone has published the type of magazine that I’ve been hoping for. My eyes usually skim by the fashion section…I tend to bypass all of the crap that they try to sell women, but I’ll admit that occasionally, although very rarely, I become a victim of Cosmo. I’ll even take a look through the Arts and Photography section in search of interesting images and because, as elementary as it may sound, I like the pretty pictures. More often than not, however, I’ll go straight for the health and fitness section, keeping an eye out for my favourites amoung them.
I must say that I do feel a slight rush when I see that the new issues have come out. I already anticipate what it is that their pages hold inside; Articles on nutrition, workouts to try and little tidbit articles on health. One in particular is great because it includes articles on unexpected subjects ranging anywhere from how to de-stress to relationships and sex and travel and leisure. This is usually the one that I end up taking home to enjoy, but I always feel torn because the other two have more info on weight training or cardio…and isn’t that why I’m buying the darn thing to begin with? Lately though they have all been a bit disappointing. It seems that every month they are saying the same thing or not giving enough balance to each aspect of life. Plus, being a vegetarian I also like reading about natural health products that aren’t tested on animals, organic foods and ways of contributing to making this world a better, cleaner one. These rarely, if ever, discuss such things. So what do I do? I can’t very well buy them all!
Here in lies my wanting to publish a magazine that incorporates all of these areas. A health/fitness/weight training magazine for vegetarians/vegans/health conscious females, (I don’t know about making it for both sexes just yet) that includes articles on everything that would be important to the above but also incorporate articles on fashion, beauty, sex, relationships, social/political commentary, the arts, travel and maybe even on pop culture.

I’m not sure who my demographic would be…but I know I’d buy it!
