After trying out several different sleep patterns, I have decided that 6 hours is the optimal number of sleep hours for me.
\\\\\\I suffer of insomnia and I would like to get some advices from experienced persons
I need to work on this goal again and I am committed to do this.
Soon i will be back to this forum when I will achieve it.
If I don’t have a goal or plan in mind, I became lazy. I thing this part of my life is like that. I need to streamline my self.That’s why i am not waking up early now a days and sleeping too much. Need to find out my reason to live my life to the fullest.
and for this 43 things always help me.
I am able to sleep only 6 hrs and I am feeling too good about it.
How… ok I will tell what all the things motivated me to do this after a long time.
1. I have read all the entries by other people in this goal and find out many ways and tried many ways.
2. By using 90 mins sleeping cycles technique, I decided that 6 hr will be fine for me.
3. By having data in my diary for a week about when I go to sleep and when i woke up i came to now that I was sleeping for 7 to 8 hrs a day.
4. I calculated that if I wake up 1 hr early what all I can get
Here is my calculation
• I am using 17 hr /day by not sleeping, as I sleep 7 hr /day.
• If I add 1 hr daily it means total of 365 hr /year =21.47 productive days in a year. I was totally shocked to know it, that just by adding 1 productive hr /day I will live nearly one more month extra then last year and the best part is that, this is in my own control.
• I want to invest this hr in my health physically (by doing exercise ) and mentally (by reading good book)
5. the alarm clock technique was not for me as I will use snooze as many times as I want. But what I did is that I set timer of 6 hr and then went to sleep, I was in bed for 40 min and I knew that I have not slept yet so I restarted the timer , so now am not worried about when I am waking up but I am worried about that I will get full 6 hr sleep.
I will be doing it for last 4 days and I will continue doing it till it become my habit. That’s why I am not marking it as DONE now but soon I will do that.One last thing I am feeling very energetic as now I know that life is in my own control.

It’s not that hard if you make an effort. Experiment. Know though that their is a one day lag on your sleep so you must sleep a certain way for 2 days to feel the effects. Also be aware of a 2 week sleep cycle. It can take up to 2 full weeks of proper sleep to recover from severe sleep deprivation.
The 2 best things I can say is schedule your life to allow you the time to sleep and exercise daily. Exercise is key to falling asleep easily, and sleeping more deeply.
If you have trouble falling asleep exercise more or wake up earlier.

I am again become lazy. Not controlleing when i am going to bad and when waking up.
