And finding it hard with the lack of employment. I suppose the economy being in the shape it’s in makes it harder to find a job, but i’d love to just find something not too hard, and a decent paycheck. I’m tired of being a bum!

How I did it: After two years at J. Crew, and a change in management, I was ready for something new. I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into that store, and yet felt like it was all for nothing. Thankfully, after only one month of unemployment, a great opportunity came up and I took it. Read how I did it…

I’ve finally had a chance to go back to work after being a SAHM for years and the job market is (seemingly) elusive. I just finished a temp job in August and so far, nothing has come up for me.
I’m educated and experienced.
I’m ‘not that old’ and look younger than my age.
I keep trying to find ‘a career job’ not just a ‘job.’
Need to find a decent career. Have been working fir the same company for 11 years since leaving uni but have recently realised the salary is not enough and feel i need to earn more. seem to have fallen way behind my friends in terms of having a decent career.
Right now I am looking for a full time job, until I can get back into school. I did find a job working long hours, but the thing was…it wasn’t paying enough. Now I am looking for a new one, and it’s hard for people my age to find full time work. I am just going to apply at warehouses, and see what happens.
So, I have given myself one month to find a job. A good job, one that pays me well and isn’t tediously boring… this could be quite hard as I have had about 8 jobs in five years and most of them I just walked out on, not a great thing to have on one’s CV! Oh well hopefully setting this challenge publically will ensure that I will complete it.
Good luck to me!
My boss is self employed. It’s just him, the third man (on saturdays, and I. We move pianoes. It keeps you fit, you get to rest it the truck, it’s not grunt work like regular moving, pays under the table, and I get to develop a friendship relationship with my boss, since he is a person, not a corporation. It’s great.
Honestly…I’m not much of a worker. I find it hard to even imagine a job I’d really wish to have, coming to work with high spirits and ready to tackle ‘whatever life throws at ya’. I’ve always been obsessed with drawing, writing fantasy literature…but I can’t make it, not in those circles. I’ll still try, off course. What use is it to exist if one doesn’t even strive to their goals, just once? Of course, I’ll need a a day-time job to complement my high goals, so I won’t have to be a starved-to-death artist.
I’d just want to find a decent job, where the boss doesn’t try to swindle me, or where I’m not subjected to work I loathe. Too much asked, I guess. Sigh
Doesn’t mean I won’t stop trying. Currently unemployed, but hoping that won’t be the situation in a month or so. Stupid, blind optimism is the key to success, here.
Thinking seriously about joining the police force. Well, it’s a respectable proffesion isn’t it? pays well too. I always wanted to be a copper since i was little, a bit of a lie, i wanted to Valenteno Rossi but i can whistle for that. So next ambition up is copper and my current line of work isn’t actually getting me anywhere.
Besides, could be just what i need to straighten my head out. Either the regulars or the MoD police force. Anyone been in the force? i’d like to know what to expect.
