get new tires put on my truck

I noticed a leak in one of the three remaining bad tires the other day, and I had the money in the bank (barely) and the time to spare, so I went and got it done! It’s not that much of a sense of accomplishment because I’m sad about having to use that money. Alas, it needed to be done. And I do feel glad that it’s out of the way.

I got started on this goal, but it wasn’t exactly on purpose. While halfway through a two-and-a-half hour drive last weekend, we stopped for gas, and my boyfriend (who knows how badly I need new tires) decided to check the air pressure in all of them. The last one he got to (front driver’s side, if you care) turned out to have an enormous leak in it. Panicked by the hole, and knowing we couldn’t finish the drive on that tire, we drove to a Walmart across the street.

Now this is interesting, because we both hate that store, and they were supposed to be closing right as we got there. Stuck in the middle of nowhere, we didn’t have any other options. Luckily, a really great old man agreed to stay and replace it for me. I spent about $87 that I didn’t really have, but sometimes that happens.

Hopefully the other three will be changed before anything terrible happens to them as well.
