How I did it: I went to community college for my prerequisites and then applied to a 2nd degree program at a university (one year). It was very intense, but i passed and applied for my license and passed that too!

How I did it: I chose to go to a one year LPN program.  There was a nursing program in my area that consisted of about five schools.  I applied to all of those schools and I went to the one that called me first.  Don't let that fool you: it took a year to get in.  All nursing schools have at least a one year waiting list, which is part of the reason that the world is expected to be short 1 Million nurses by 2010.  I recommend w… Read how I did it…

    i just finished my nursing school, i took my exam and passed! its so wonderful to sit there and say i am officially a registered nurse now! its exciting! and well i have a nursing job and everything..

    i am still waiting for them to change my badge from graduate nurse to registered nurse..

    Getting Ready! 2 weeks ago

    As of this past Saturday, I’ve submitted my applications to 2 nursing schools, ordered transcripts, and have taken two kinds of nursing entrance tests. I did well on the entrance tests, thank goodness!

    I’m currently half-way done with a third nursing application and will submit that maybe sometime next week once I get to it.

    I am anxious to know when I get accepted! (crosses fingers) I pray for luck!

    I want to be a nurse mostly because, ever since my dad’s been sick, I’ve noticed that lots of nurses don’t take their job seriously and don’t do a good job. I want to be one of the better ones and whip the others into shape.

    Halfway there!!! 1 month ago

    So I finished my sophomore year!!! I’m going to be starting my clinicals this fall and I’m so excited!!! I’m halfway to getting my RN and BSN! I can’t believe it’s already been two years.
    I loved this past semester, especially pathophysiology. It was the hardest class ever, but also the most interesting. And, I was lucky to have an amazing professor, so it all worked out. I got an A-!!! Next semester I’m taking Adult 1, gero, pharm and legal aspects. Just have to get through microbiology which I’m taking in June.

    it’s been awhile since i’ve been on 43things.

    i’m now in my 3rd year of nursing. i’m nearly there. i’m finally working as an undergraduate nurse in one of the hospitals here in western sydney. i love it. after numerous clinical placements.. i’m now thinking of studying midwifery.

    time flies when we’re having fun. (yes i just called nursing fun).
