I just got my LNA licence and learned that I love nursing. So I’m done with the first step and got a job in a nursing home. So now I need to save some money to get my LPN or even maybe my RN.

How I did it: I went to community college for my prerequisites and then applied to a 2nd degree program at a university (one year). It was very intense, but i passed and applied for my license and passed that too! Lessons & tips: get as much experience as you can and be tenacious

How I did it: I chose to go to a one year LPN program. There was a nursing program in my area that consisted of about five schools. I applied to all of those schools and I went to the one that called me first. Don't let that fool you: it took a year to get in. This is something I’ve been thinking about for a very long time. I was going to school for court reporting but sadly my school closed and I basically didn’t study on my own and have been working too many jobs at call centers with weird hours to look into going to another school. I’m not ready to completely give up on the court reporting dream….maybe I will go for it when I’m in my 40s or 50s….but I have found I really want to be a nurse right now. This goal really starting coming into light when I met my boyfriend who used to work as a nurse tech for a hospital. He has really encouraged me and I feel like I will know more of what to expect since I met him. I’m going to be taking class to get my CNA at the end of this month, then hopefully I will be able to go on to lpn school. I want to work as a CNA for at least a year though. I kinda like the idea of being at the very bottom and getting to see what’s going on and learning all I can. I also heard that really good RNS started out as CNAs. I’m a little nervous and super excited. I am really tired of call centers and being stuck at a desk for 8 hours and I know this is going to be a challenge that I’m really ready to take on!!

i had applied for NVQ HEALT AND SOCIAL CARE, BECAUSE I WONNA BECOME A NURSE. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO GET SAME EXPERIENCE DURING THE COURSE IN HOSPITAL .

I’ve been thinking about going into nursing for a few years but never did anything about it. I decided to bite the bullet and just go for it. I’ve been accepted on a course at university and start this September. Very exciting and a little daunting!

i really have no idea what i wanna do. there so many routes i could take to get to where i wanna be but all that ive come up with is either something i cannot imagine myself doing or would take me forever for me to accomplish. ive decided either joining the military or getting a job and applying for grants and scholarships to pay for college. i just have been really stressed over this for awhile now especially that its my last year of high school. i feel like im going to fail and never get to where i want…
