How I did it: I chose to go to a one year LPN program. There was a nursing program in my area that consisted of about five schools. I applied to all of those schools and I went to the one that called me first. Don't let that fool you: it took a year to get in. All nursing schools have at least a one year waiting list, which is part of the reason that the world is expected to be short 1 Million nurses by 2010. I recommend w… Read how I did it…

So I’m coming down to the end of my fall semester of my junior. Right now I’m in my med-surg rotation and I’m at Newark Beth Israel Medical Ceneter. I love my clinical professor and I’m learning so much. I passed my med administration exam and so I’m now giving out meds! I’ve even done two injections already! It’s exciting.
But…this semester has definitely been the most difficult so far, thanks to Pharmacology. I can’t believe how much information there is. And the clinicals are a lot of work. But I’m enjoying all of it!
So basically 5 semesters down and 3 more to go! YAYYYY!
Hope the rest of you are doing well on your journey to becoming a nurse!!! :)
I just got my LNA licence and learned that I love nursing. So I’m done with the first step and got a job in a nursing home. So now I need to save some money to get my LPN or even maybe my RN.
I want to become a successful nurse because I love workin with people and learnin different techinques. The nursing career have came a long way in my family startin with my grandmother, mother, father, and now me. I want to resume this nursin cycle my family has build.
This is something I’ve been thinking about for a very long time. I was going to school for court reporting but sadly my school closed and I basically didn’t study on my own and have been working too many jobs at call centers with weird hours to look into going to another school. I’m not ready to completely give up on the court reporting dream….maybe I will go for it when I’m in my 40s or 50s….but I have found I really want to be a nurse right now. This goal really starting coming into light when I met my boyfriend who used to work as a nurse tech for a hospital. He has really encouraged me and I feel like I will know more of what to expect since I met him. I’m going to be taking class to get my CNA at the end of this month, then hopefully I will be able to go on to lpn school. I want to work as a CNA for at least a year though. I kinda like the idea of being at the very bottom and getting to see what’s going on and learning all I can. I also heard that really good RNS started out as CNAs. I’m a little nervous and super excited. I am really tired of call centers and being stuck at a desk for 8 hours and I know this is going to be a challenge that I’m really ready to take on!!
my mom has been a nurse since i was a baby and now im 25 i have always wanted 2 b a nurse i an going through alot of stuff rite now so i cant go 2 school rite now
i had applied for NVQ HEALT AND SOCIAL CARE, BECAUSE I WONNA BECOME A NURSE. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO GET SAME EXPERIENCE DURING THE COURSE IN HOSPITAL .
