Last Sunday in November 2 days ago

Well, not perfect, but a good Sunday. No church and watched some TV, which isn’t ideal. But, planted 10 bulbs in the garden and went to yoga, which was great.

Today was a wonderful Sunday 1 month ago

For starters, the weather was perfect. Mild and sunny, it allowed me to spend almost an hour in the garden, plucking out pebbles and weeds, which was more fun than it sounds.

Didn’t make it to church, alas, but did create some Shepherd’s Pies, one of which I ate and 2 of which I froze for later consumption. I made them with ground lean turkey this time, which makes them healthier than when I prepare them with lamb.

Went to a fantastic yoga class – since the weather outside was so fab, few students turned up so it was very intimate and the teacher answered a lot of questions and was able to be more interactive than when there’s a crowd of us. Before class started, i was able to get in 20 minutes of other exercise on the treadmill and the weight machines.

I did watch TV… but only tonight’s MadMen. Alas, though; I missed the last 10 minutes; can anyone tell me how this episode ended?

    Yesterday... 2 months ago

Was a great day. didn’t get to church but also watched no TV. Spent a lot of time in the garden: weeding and clipping and pruning. It wasn’t a day of rest, per se, but for me working in the garden is a kind of rest since it’s a difference kind of work than usual.

a step in the right direction? 3 months ago

I finally got a sunday off yesterday- my first in about three weeks. Unfortunately, I was stuck at home on the couch, tripping face on a 103 degree fever. Still, thanks to the new discovery of my own ability to call in sick, hope springs eternal. Who knows what wonders the future may hold!

Yoga and church: yay! 4 months ago

TV and grocery shopping: boo! All in all, though, a good day.

a bit of tv, no church, but did attend yoga. Alas, did a bit of grocery shopping (would really love to have sunday = no buying day) but only less than $20 of necessities for dinner.

seriously hungover today. No yoga, no church but 3 hours of organizing, a bit of weeding, not too much TV… I call it a success.

Had an argument with The Man. Slept much of the day. Didn’t achieve much but I guess it was a restful day and certainly not like most days.

Today was not a regular week day. I spent some times outdoors, went to church, napped and did a few other things that were really excellent and “different.” When I can remember to use Sunday as a day of rest, it truly does recharge me for the rest of the week.
