I used to have them when I was a kid, as did my brothers, so we thought it was really normal and everyone had them. I think I kind of “grew out” of it though and I’ve only had maybe a couple in the last few years. I’d love to get the ability back though.

OK. Check it: I looked up lucid dreaming online, because the internet tubes are my friends, and it turns out step one in lucid dreaming is remembering your dreams, which I guess makes sense.
So, I’ve started keeping a dream journal, which has lead me to the following realization: my dreams are weird; like, real weird.
Dudes with lobster pincers for hands, dead bodies buried in my kitchen. Hillary Clinton palling around w/me; yeah, disturbing, no?
The short of it is: I’ve got to learn to lucid dream if for no other reason than too keep Hilary Clinton out of my head! Its a matter of survival, at this point.
I’ve had a couple lucid dreams, but I want to learn how to do it regularly. I got a book with exercises you can do to learn how, but I have no idea where it is…
I think this would allow me to better know my self by allowing me to better know my subconscious.
Several years ago I had a string of lucid dreams in which I would test my limits in the dream world. (I can breathe underwater, but not fly) Since then. I havn’t been able to achieve conciousness in my dreams, though I’m trying!
There was a point where I had a few lucid dreams and was remembering dreams in detail every night. So technically I learned to lucid dream, I just didn’t keep it up very long. I’ll go back to it over the summer as well, so I’ll count this goal accomplished!
I’ve extremely learned that lucid dreaming is impossible. You have no freewill while dreaming. The Dreamweaver sometimes allows you to think you do….which is generous.
hamanokumiko1212 has a really bad headache...
though i haven’t lucid dreamed in a VERY long time, it is worth doing. it is a lot of fun. In fact, I have been able to fly and perform magic in my lucid dreams. =)
The thing that really worked for me (but is pretty hard to do):
touch the door frame everytime you’re walking to another room and at the same time ask yourself if you are not sleeping. If you get used to it, chances are you’ll do the same in your dream.
