...but it was easier than I expected. If I actually practice, I should be able to hit three minutes with relative ease.
I entitled this item as “hold my breath for 3 minutes” since I expect most people who would set a goal along these lines would choose 3 minutes. Actually, my goal is 2:30 minutes.
I’m blogging my progress here:
Two and a half minutes is my record so far. Hopefully practice will reassure my body that it will not die in the next 30 seconds. It’s pretty convinced of that right now.
I swan 600 yards the other night. I’m going to increase slowely to about 3500 yards, a couple times a week. Then I’ll work on holding my breath.
I’m going for three minutes. I’m going to call an EMT before I do it, just in case.
I swam 250 feet underwater a few years ago. When I came to the surface I nearly passed out. It was a defining moment in my life. I decided that the road I would follow for the rest of my life would not include doing stupid things like that.
Alas, I have lost the road, and now wander in the woods.
