see through the illusion

I want to be as far from materialistic as I can.
I heard a quote yesterday which summed this up. The idea that a person should have only what is useful or that they believe to be beautiful in their homes. I can live by this idea, as beauty to me comes in nature: flowers, rain, wind, sunshine, and from my interest in cooking and reading a beautifully written book, or film. The company of someone I love.
I believe I can work on this goal.
