buy a new bathing suit

It’s been hot as hell up here, and going swimming at Heather’s is starting to sound real good. I got the boy-short bottoms I wanted- now I just have to wait for payday to buy the top (which went on sale.) I’m thinking maybe I should also buy a sturdy, practical top just in case I actually do any really involved swimming, since the top I’m planning on getting now is a string-bikini style, and since I’ve never had one, I don’t know how well they stay on :o.

Still can’t find anything to fulfill all three requirements of price, size, aesthetics.

I figured (and was right) that it was too much to hope for to find any gothy sort of swimsuit, so I was at least looking for something a.)all black, b.)bikini but not showing tons of T&A, c.)at least slighly edgy-looking. And dear Jebus, after two days of looking I’ve barely found a damn thing ;;. Apparently it’s an unspoken rule amongst 99% of bathing suit makers that swimsuits should be in the ugliest and/or gaudiest prints and colors EVER. When I found one in a cut I liked, it only came in red with white polka dots, and when I found one that was similar in plain black, it didn’t come in my size. I finally found another design I liked (from VictoriasSecret.com of all places), but it’s only in string-tie-bikini style, and I don’t want something that skimpy and fall off-able; I’m thinking my best bet will be to split the difference, and get the top and buy a different pair of bottoms. I found these boyshorts I like that would go well pretty easily actually, but now my only problem is do I really wanna pay $90 for a bathing suit? ..;;;;;;

I haven’t gone swimming in almost four years now. Basically because I don’t like being out in the sun and there aren’t many places around here with indoor pools where you don’t have to pay an assload of money. This year however, one of my friends keeps making noises like she wants us to come swimming with her, and I think I need a new suit. I don’t really like my old one anymore- I don’t like the color and the halter neck has always been too short. The sad part is that I think the sum total of times I wore it was twice for swimming, and I wore the top a few times with jeans to wash the car. I’m a little apprehensive though; even though by the books I’m thinner than I ever have been since I stopped being a scrawny kid, I feel more self-concious than ever (isn’t it funny how that works?). I honestly am not sure what to get. I’m not a very sexy or flirty person, and it has to be black- that’s all I really know at this point.
