I found a lovely cross stitch kit I asked for as a Christmas present several years ago. I really want to do it. It’s a lavender bag with a medieval garden design.
How I did it: First, I decided that I wanted to make a super mario themed cross stich towel. Then, I searched the web for exemples of what has been done and also references of super mario. I decided that Yoshi was a cute theme for a baby and he was more friendly. Next, I google "super mario sprite" and found the complete Yoshi sprite. I made a layout of what I wanted the towel to look on photoshop and transfered it to a cross stich application for mac. Last but not least, I bought the strings and just went for it.
Lessons & tips: Be prepared to break the rules of cross stitching if you are willing to make a big and complex design, but always keep the verse clean and beautiful. Pay attention all the time!

I would like to start a craft that would keep me busy working with my hands. I would cross stitch in the past and I really enjoy it. I found it very relaxing and quiet.

i luv doing manual, crafty projects, but of course, there’s never enough time. my favorite craft is cross stitch. i have a handfull of projects i would like to complete, but i have so many things on my plate that i think it’ll be a long time before i get to them. i wish i could simplify my life so i could have more time, but that might require to spend less time helping people. i should also revise my time management.

It is really nice to cross stitch and maybe one day soon I would like to cross stitch a more complicated pattern now that I got a hand on the basics of it =D
I love cross stitching! I’d be the happiest person in the world if I could quit my job and stay home to stitch all day.
I used to do this when I was in elementary school. Something about the orderliness is very comforting.
I love knitting. I like crochet. sewing is something I can do… now I just want to do and be good at all things crafty :) And I’ve seen some really funky patterns lately that I want to try out. I bought a book about it today, and will probably pick up supplies in a few days
In my late teens and early twenties I did quite a number of cross stitch projects which I framed and hung up in my room. But I don’t do it anymore coz how many do you really need and what are you gonna do with it. Collecting more junk I say. However I think it’s a great way to occupy your time.
i cant be able to finish what i started. a few stitches out of plans and i lose heart.
