go wine tasting in Italy

We visited the local tourist office in Florence and we found a group that offered a free (or it may bave been 10 Euros) wine/history tour of the Chianti region. We e-mailed the company listed on the brochure (printed in English) and she replied (in English) quickly, saying we’d been added to the reservations list and gave us the date, time and place we were to meet up. Come to find out, the tour was all in Italian! We (my friends and I) were the only 4 English speaking people on the tour. The guide did the best she could to translate certain things, but I’m certain we missed a lot of details along the way. However that said, we didn’t need English to appreciate the art, wine and beautiful countryside so the tour was completely worth it!

...with on a trip I went on in High School, organized by the teachers… I wasn’t a big wine fan, but it was a fun experience… hope to do it again someday.
