crowd surf

I have always wanted to to this. I finally did at the Sum 41 concert. I saw someone get lifted and asked the same people if they could lift me. It was so much fun but I didnt notice I got flipped and then I got dropped and landed on my face and people were just kind of looking down at me. But where I landed I was much closer to the stage and could see everything so it was totally worth it. XD

my buddies actually surprised me and threw me up into the crowd, but it was still sick. I just chilled up ther for a few moments above the crowd during one of my favorite oar songs, so it was awesome. One of my friends actually got a picture of me, so i’ll c if i can post that up sometime soon haha. the whole concert tho, we were just throwin people up and pushin them forward, good times all around

It was in August 2008 at one hell of a Lostprophets gig at Birmingham Carling Academy. I’d gotten through most of the night going mad like most other people when I decided it was finally time for a crowd surf. It helped that there was a 6ft something built guy next to me that was easily able to life me up. I chose the right song to go aswel, Shinobi Vs Dragon Ninja. Was a great experience even though a few people managed to get a kick in the face. Highly recommended. I dont think you have lived a proper rock gig if you havent crowd surfed.

And so we made a promise that we would both try it next concert we go to.

I hear though that theres penalties, like if you get caught crowd surfing x amount of times by a security guard you can get thrown out of the concert?

at bamboozle this year during Say Anything I just went for it! I had my boyfriend lift me and as soon as I got up and just saw the crowd it was so exhilarating. definitely worth doing!

At my first concert i was too scared to even go in the mosh. Second concert i went to i was in the mosh nearly the whole night but i was scared to crowd surf. I have no idea how to get up anyway? I think i just need to know the technique lol

it was friggen awesome! felt like a flash though… if and when i may ever do it again i’ll try to concentrate more on the experience and less on the idea that i was going to fall flat on my face! =)

At my last Concert (Taste of Chaos), I decided that I wanted to do this and not back out. I was so afraid that I was too fat and that they’d drop me or wouldn’t be able to lift me up at all. But I decided I wanted to try anyway, so I asked my guy friend to help me get up and he asked this big guy in front of us if he could help toss me up. Before I had any choice, this giant guy just grabbed me and tossed me up like I weighed nothing. It was crazy. I was halfway up to the front before I suddenly was like, “What am I doing!?” lol, it was so much fun and so smooth. No one dropped me or anything. I loved it. The only thing that hurt was when security grabbed me and pulled me down, he accidentally hit my ribs on the rail. Not so bad though.
The whole thing was well worth it.
Just tap some big guy on the should and ask him to help you up. You’ll be up and surfing before you can change your mind ;)
