I participated in a walk out, which was a protest against the new University law. The government’s proposal for the law will be heard tomorrow. We demand the proposal of that law to be stopped NOW,

• because it focuses power to the topmost authority of the university, increases the amount of hierarchy within it and weakens the influence of students and staff
• because it specifies the goal of serving the world of business and finance as the mission of university, and defines knowledge as a private good with a price
• because it makes possible to set a monetary fee for students applying outside the EU, which is the first step to start charging for studying
• because it answers to none of the problems the students and staff of the university have to face presently, but increases its inner and outer control!
