What is Angel Falls

About 8 miles north of Maracaibo, Venezuela, Angel Falls is the world’s highest waterfall at 979 m. The height of the falls is so great that before getting anywhere near the ground, the water is vaporized by the strong winds and turned into mist. After a Plan ride and two boat rides, you have to hike for about 1.5 hours through the rainforest to get to the base of the falls… and if it’s a cloudy day you’re out of luck because you won’t even be able to see them!
