I’ve been playing violin for about 7 years now, going on 8. I was in 4 different orchestras in high school and did a bunch of solo stuff too, and now I’m in a college chamber orchestra as well as one of the civic orchestras here in town.
This summer I’ll be volunteering with WAMSO, which is the organization that supports the Minnesota Orchestra! I know my volunteer work will have nothing to do with actually playing, but maybe I’ll be able to hook up with some connections or get some tips from the musicians to help me along. It’ll still be a long time before I’m good enough to audition for a pro orchestra, but I’m on my way!
