How to write Slam Poetry
It made me 
"I just needed the right inspiration and the confidence to start writing, but those are two very independent variables I had to wait for, and when they converged part of me was set free by it."
How I did it: I went to see some slam poetry performed, then I just got a stroke of inspiration one night. I wrote about something very personal, that had held me back the most in my life, and terrified, I actually performed it one night...I actually haven't had the same negative thought as strongly as I used to in a long while.
Now I write about more things; I can't do it on command, only when something inspires me, and I feel great jumping up in front of the mic and 'spitting' it :)
