visit someone in prison

I visited a prison for a feature story I was writing. The story revolved around a woman who taught a class there. It was really interesting. Everyone seemed so normal, then you hear they’ve murdered or raped someone and it all seems so strange. It was also weird becasue when it was time to go I just got up and left, they won’t be able to do that for years!
