Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

ladybirdLots of thinking and browsing

Looking my drawings and sketches, I wanted to improve them. I know what feeling I want to accomplish but achieving it as I imagine is another animal.
I watched photos on Houzz that have that “something” and tried to understand how they did it. So I corrected kitchen elevation drawings. I have found out standard dimensions of cupboard for our kitchen. It looks better now. I’m surprised how time consuming it is.
Did I mention that windows instalation started, it’s been a while. Waiting the rain and stormy weather to pass by. 2 months ago

There are lots of home renovations my wife and I want to do over the next year. We just moved into a pretty old home that really needs some touch ups. First, we are going to renovate the kitchen by putting in a bar and new counter tops. We are planning on changing out the hardwood, as well, since it’s a bit warped and discolored. We also plan to redo the carpet in most of the rooms as well as replace a few of the windows that have water stains. I hope this will make our home look nice and new!

herlingrenovation

When I started this goal I meant to renovate my tiny appartment. I never got to it really. All the world travellings were my priorities then.
I still have my appartment, but in addition to it, also a lovely old countryhouse and this is the new challenge for me now – to renovate the house. Let the show begin. 4 months ago

9 months ago

ladybirdideas are crystalising

in the mean time we did a lot of searching online and agreed on many things. and that is huge accomplishment. we would like to install vimar inteligent house. i hope this saturday to visit their showroom and see how it looks alive.

that crooked wall is down so we will build small wals around high kitchen cabinets, symetrical on both sides.

yet to choose contractor to install windows. 10 months ago
