I combined a chocolate crackle recipe that I was concerned might go all spready and melty with a candy thumbprint recipe that I was concerned might go all spready and melty. Guess what happened!

How I did it: It's nice to know that, rain or shine, you can always have cookies if you've already made them.
Just as well, I've been saving up the ingredients for years and today seemed like a good day to kick back, relax, bake cookies.
Preheat the oven to roughly 350°C.
Get all the ingredients you need together for baking cookies and add your own dry ingredients.
Make your dough into something you can appreciate, like a bite sized circles and space them out evenly as they will spread while baking.
Once golden brown, take your cookies out of the oven and set them aside to cool.
Eat what you want and clean up the rest by storing in an airtight container, layering each row of cookies with parchment paper or waxed paper.
These can be frozen, refrigerated or left at room temperature if they will be eaten within a few days or less. Read how I did it… 13 months ago
