How I did it: Bake up a batch of double chocolate chip cookies for my son and his friends as a little weekend treat.I actually ended up making 12 and there are none left...i didn't even get to have one myself. Read how I did it…

How I did it: Although you can learn the basics from a cookbook it is more fun to learn from a friend or family member. They usually know about any quirks your oven may have. My mom taught me to bake when I was young, I don't even remember the first time I baked cookies. I am sure that because she helped me they were great. We started off with chocolate chip and raisin oatmeal. We had an annual family reunion. There was always fried chicken,… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I've actually baked three batches of cookies since I set this goal. They're just so yummy! and making and sharing them makes me happy too.I found a recipe on the internet, then changed it to fit my needs (more chocolate, less nuts, more oatmeal, less sugar etc ;) I also added some dark syrup to the mix, which really added to the flavor - brilliant. How I did it: Woke up one day and decided to give hands to the kitchen magic. Not to bad...people whom i offer those coconut-ginger cookies really apreciate it, but i'm still motivated to improve my skills and sensibility on this. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I finally had a bit of free time and a great recipe, so I baked cookies for a holiday party. I was the only one who had made cookies from scratch! For me it was important to have a recipe that I could make in one session, without having to set aside the dough to chill or rise or set or bake twice or anything fancy. That was a big help. I learned to bake when I was a kid. Mom didn’t mind having me in the kitchen. When I was younger we baked chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin. Now that I have grown up I like to try new recipes. One of my favorites is Chocolate Mint Snaps.

Gee, I used to really love baking. I still haven’t made cookies. My little girl bakes cakes that don’t fall..I can’t do that anymore. They all have a small dip in them now..lol. :P
Well I’m buying the next oven I see on sale, dang missed one and it went up $200. Maybe that will give me the inspiration.
dev0tchka Is that all there is?
I’m baking snickerdoodles. Hope they’ll turn out okay because I have never baked them before (nor tasted).

and I want it back!
Yay for baking cookies!
Here’s the recipe I began with. I made some changes, though. I used almonds instead of pecans, lemon zest and extract instead of orange and 2 tsp of fructose instead of regular sugar. And they turned out great! I’ll definitely make them again :)
