To get myself started I intend to write down every single “compliment of the day” that I will give for the next 30 days. After that 30-days period I hope this has become so natural to my that I won’t even have to think about it anymore :)
How to compliment someone every day
How I did it: To get myself started I wrote down every single “compliment of the day” for a month. Soon after I started writing everything down I realized that this wasn't that much of a change for me since I've always been rather generous when it comes to complimenting.
After this exercise this has become even more natural to my than before and I hope to be able to keep up this habit even though I've checked it off my list as finished.
I like to compliment my family members, co-workers, friends as well as strangers when they least expect it. I like to compliment people for e.g. improvements, strengths, courage, generosity, helpfulness, nice look/cloths, job well done. In fact, the possibilities are endless.
People doing this are also doing these things:

i usually try to compliment others, but doing it everyday is a good goal. i think it will brighten both you and the other person’s day, and improve YOUR self-esteem because you are taking the initiative.

I’ve been doing this often enough that it is a habit now. It always make someone feel better to get a compliment, and I get a lot of positive energy generated for myself from it.
I’m a really strong believer in karma, and I /love/ the warm feeling yo uget when complimented,so I thougt to combine the two and give otehrs compliments so they feel just as good. It also makes me feel better knowing I made someone’s day a little brighter, and I try to make a sincere compliment to the epople who seem to need it most each day.
For instance, there’s this kid in my class who’s somewhat of a loner and no one really talks to him, so when he explained one of the answers in math and got it right, I just said to him “Oh my god, I never would have gotten that, awesome answer!” and he just smiled and thanked me.
It’s good to pay compliments on other ppl, especially if you pay a REAL compliment. If someone feels awkward on paying a compliment on someone, you can tell somebody “you look nice today” using the voice you’d use to say “today’s a nice day”.
Life is short so why not ditch the complaining and learn to say something good about others? That’s my goal for this year.
I’m actually getting quite good at this. I didn’t like it at first because I thought it seemed kinda forced towards the end of the day if I’d not complimented anyone. And for some reason if I knew who I wanted to compliment, I found it really hard to actually say it. No idea why. But then I realised it doesn’t have to be forced and I’ve actually really got into this one.
