avphibes is getting my household in order
Being as I work from home, I’ve always thought it was a bit of a wasted opportunity not to live elsewhere for awhile just because I can. Living abroad would be easier for me than for most, being as I would have the same job and not have to get a new one (or have to get a work visa).
Barcelona is the sort of town I think I could live in for awhile. It is beautiful and interesting and has good food, nice weather, a beach and is easy to get around on foot or by public transportation (not driving a car limits my options of where I could live comfortably). It would also help me work on my foreign language skills.
I think it would be fun to live there for maybe six months.
The main obstacle is that I have to be able to afford to maintain two residences (unless I subleased my place in New York, which I’m not sure how comfortable I am with.)
