Some day, I want to be able to find an old-style corset, like those worn in the 1800’s and buy it for myself. In the perfect world, I would be able to get one custom made for me, so it would be brand new, but I’ll probably just have to buy it vintage, for a lot of money, and never be able to wear it.

I’ve actually bought my corsets a while ago. I thought I would never get them but my husband got them for me as a surprise. I was so happy. Im use to the corsets now even when I don’t where them for a week or 2 Im still used to them. I can breathe the same and eat the same the only thing is I can’t walk lon distance in them lol yea thats a big no no. Someone told me I couldn’t and In tried anyway. My hips were hurting like hell. But anyway its really worth it. I work out alot so my figure was boxy. My figure looks more hourlass then boxy now.

Need to lose sufficient weight to have a 34 inch waist.
Need to save up about $600 to buy a nice one

I think I’d rather have a nicer one than the one I bought. Unfortunately I lack the funds :(
If you’re going to buy one, buy a nice one, and do not go cheap.

I have an underbust corset (and am about to make one also) but the search for an overbust one is proving problematic! And it has to be purple, bright cadbury purple :)
FGM have some great ones, but I would have to try an over bust on, and my god they are relatively expensive in comparision to vollers (but vollers don’t fit me well I’ve tried on about 6
!!
try,try and try again!

Stupid me.
I spent $60 on two crappy overbust corsets from Charlotte Russe.
They’re too big around the waist and not busty enough for me.
The idea of “vintage” style is becoming more and more overrated.
If you’re planning to buy one you should go and get a custom fitted one online or in a store.
You can tell it’s authentic when it the store it is sold in specializes in corsets.
Your waist will shrink, I sware.
I taylored the sides myself and now, the fabric is fraying.
Just buy one of the best quality if you’re wearing it to improve your figure.
