SECOND_TIME_AROUND Doing what it takes to lose!
I started because I like Oprah..who doesn’t! But, I trusted her to pick books that would be of interest and worth while to read. I also have lists of Classics, and list of top 100 sold, but I wanted to know why she thought this list is important.
I find that I don’t like all of them, I love most of them, and I do learn from all of them! I meet people and go to places I normally would not read about. I like that these books expose me to people and places; that I feel I should know something about.
I did not read fiction before Oprah..actually it was a Harry Potter book that showed me how much fun and interesting fiction could be. I thought I did not have time to read fiction. I love to read now, and I want others to get the reading bug too, and Oprahs Book Club List is certainly a good place to start!
