While I was not perfect with this goal, I have definitely gotten an idea of how much caffeine controlled my life. I hate addictions, and caffeine is definitely something one can get addicted to.

I’m tired of this goal, but like the soft drink goal, I’m glad I’ve done this. I didn’t realize quite how addicted I’d become to caffeine. This will be worth it a month from now when I can check this one off, too. :)

has proven beneficial. Caffeine is helping me get things done, but it’s also combined with the stress affecting my sleep a lot. I don’t think I’ll ever give up tea and coffee permanently, but unless I’ve got a seriously big project that can’t wait (like this weekend has been), I don’t plan on consuming it regularly. I like it, but regular consumption takes the special-ness out of it. After this goal is over with, I might drink tea occasionally and coffee as a special treat here and there. I don’t plan to ever go back to partaking of them daily or even weekly ever again.

I am an addict! Stress is really getting to me. So I’m making an exception today through Monday for tea that has caffeine. I’ll make up days in February if I have to. At this point I think anything on the level of drinking tea is a lot better than some things I could choose to do like eat cookie dough and ice cream and donuts and run far far away and never come back again. I promise everyone I will cease tea’s consumption again on Monday night.

I had to make an exception to this goal. I got a protein coffee drink at Wal-Mart when I was working at past midnight. I don’t think it had much caffeine in it, though, because it didn’t keep me up 30 minutes later when I went to bed. I had been up for almost 20 hours at that point and was afraid of the 25 mile drive that was ahead of me. I had to be up that late due to a client emergency call.
It was really good, and I continue to like coffee it appears, but it’s not nearly the compulsion it once was. Progress is being made! Yea!!! I’ve gained confidence from this experience because I know that I can control coffee rather than it controlling me. :D

a strong temptation for coffee the last couple of weeks. It’s been because I’ve been very tired, but I know I can’t do this for my health and because I’ve got this goal up. I think also it may be attributed to some extra stress, too. But, there again, I don’t want the stress of going back off of coffee, either. So, I’ll just have to do what I can to push the temptation away!

I don’t think I’d like black tea after getting used to caffeine free varieties. I do however continue to miss green tea.

to go against this goal. It was purely for the caffeine, though. I stayed up too late because additional family stayed over last night and wanted to play a game and have been tired all day long!

to drinking unsweetened iced tea at the banquet Tuesday. I am very glad I stopped before I started. They brought me water…and later even a glass of milk.
