Painting the town red. Literally

I’d like to literally paint the town red. I need a really small town to do this – does any one know one? I was thinking of doing it in August 2007.
What I’d really like to do is pick one over in Nebraska – and get the Huskers (Go Big Red!) to help me. It would look awesome – a whole town with all the buildings painted entirely red. Magical.
