Embem knows exactly what she wants.
But, it’s $195… YIKES!
I am going to save up for it, though.
I think it’s worth it.
How I did it: I saved up (it took a few paychecks), but I bought it. It's a patent leather hype bag, and it is the most beautiful purse ever. It's the perfect bag for me!

I want a nice purse, but I don’t make a lot of money, so I want an inexpensive one…
Its really quite difficult to find.
I found, what is for me, right this second, the Perfect Bag.
It is a nice plain vertical messenger bag, made of very lightweight and very sturdy material (no leather!). And it didn’t cost some outrageous amount of money either…
And all kinds of pockets in all the right places? Check.
But the wonderful thing is the pocket inside which perfectly fits one of the new MacBooks. I took it to the Apple Store after I bought the bag and a staff member indulged me in trying to fit a MacBook in there (a sexy black one!).
How did I manage to purchase the accessory before the item that required it? Who cares!
I found this bag at squidfire.com and though it is a pretty simple nmessenger bag, it’s nice (simple) and squid related. And much less expensive than the leather one I had been looking at…
Now that it’s official warm out, this goal becomes much more important to move on as I am without the huge pockets of the long winter coat to carry all my daily goodies…
(or perhaps I should find a blank one and screen print my own!?)
It has been hitting the 60s in Chicago for a couple of days and the reliance on the huge winter coat with ample pockets for my goodies will be my undoing…
I want to get some kind of huge nonleather tote bag that will stand up to a good beating, and be good for summer. My price range is 15-35 dollars, I’ve been looking around online and bags are somuch more exspensive than I thought. I might just end up having to make one- but I’m going shopping on friday so here’s hoping.
...where he got his nice looking canvas satchel. I’m that desperate for leads.
He said, “about a year ago at Old Navy,” and I fell into despair.
I’m attracted to a bag from Old Navy?!
Crap.
...and clearly not too good.
Now I’m wondering about whether or not there are any other obvious places to look? Other than hoping to ‘come across’ an awesome bag somewhere when I’m not thinking about it (which would be grand, sure) there aren’t any more obvious places to shop. Do I want to wait that long? Is it a really a ‘goal’ if you simply ‘let it happen?’
So is the Best Contender actually the perfect bag, and I simply need to get used to the idea of paying that much money?
