I have visited the CA shelter a few times and volunteered, and now I am doing a monthlong internship at the NY Shelter! It’s the most amazing experience of my life, and if you have the time and money, INTERN HERE. It will change your life.

The trip was a camping trip/birthday present to me from my hubby. It was so great! My little boy had a great time. We got to meet my sponsored bunny, and we saw Sammie and Tudie (clown magicians) perform. It was wonderful!
I would love to visit one. There is a farm sanctuary up north in California, but I live in the south. (In one of the Los Angeles Counties) I would be so proud if I can see these dear animals in real life – cows, chickens, goats, sheep, ducks, pigs, etc. I seen them everywhere in photographs, but how are they really like would interest me.
I would love to go to the B&B there too! hopefully next season once they re-open … I also think interning there would be super interesting
Last summer, two of my close friends went to the one in Upstate NY (we live in NYC), and told me how great it was to visit. I would definitely love to go and plan to do so with my husband (and hopefully our 12-year-old niece can come too).
The NY Farm Sanctuary is located in a beautiful location, it is an amazing place. The staff are wonderful and the animals are at peace. You can “adopt” one of the animals and then visit with them when you go there. We have adopted a sheep there for the last 4-5 years and love going to visit him. Luckily we are close enough to go regularly, guess that is one good thing about living in Upstate NY.
I really want to go to the Bed & Breakfast at the Farm Sanctuary in NY.
I will tie it into my goal of taking more photos. I would really like to take some great pictures of the animals. I have a wall in my dining room that would be perfect for some black and white shots.
I am working out a plan to get there in 2006.

Well, the Farm Sanctuary trip is off this month… so now, I’m even farther from meeting my goal than I thought I was. I just couldn’t afford it this month. Hopefully I’ll get there soon.

I’m going to a conference they’re having in September… YAY!
This place sounds really cool. I’ve read stories of abused animals who have ended up at Farm Sanctuary. I feel very happy knowing that those animals now have a good and loving home!!
