I own three rescued GUINEA pigs. One of them was found in a paper bag in a parking lot, one was born in a rescue to a mother that was rescued from a terrible situation of inbreeding in a garage, and the other was born in a rescue from the same sort of situation. I also had two rescued ones from the local Humane Society but they both passed away after a great life with me full of fresh hay and veggies! I only own males so I don’t get babies. Who wants to contribute to the overcrowding? Not me.
I built their cage myself for a TON cheaper than the pet store cages with not enough room. It’s so rewarding to watch my rescued piggies run around and leap into the air in happiness!
